2026 Woman of Distinction & Woman of Promise Nomination Form
Eligibility Requirements & Selection Criteria
Nominees
must
live within the geographic boundaries of Girl Scouts of West Central Florida (Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Marion, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, and Sumter counties).
Nominees for Woman of Promise must be under the age of 40 by March 8, 2026.
The nominee must exemplify extraordinary civic, professional, and/or philanthropic commitment and achievement through gifts of time, talent, and treasure, making her community a better place.
The nominee must be a role model for girls.
The nominee must demonstrate a commitment to advocacy in improving the lives of women and/or girls.
Nominees are
not
required to have been or currently be a Girl Scout.
The Selection Process
Nominations are due October 5, 2025, and are thoroughly reviewed by a Volunteer Selection Committee.
The committee may contact the nominees, the nominators, and the supporters to confirm the information provided.
The recipients of the Woman of Distinction/Woman of Promise Awards
must
be present at the 2026 Women of Distinction Luncheon held in March 2026 to receive their award.
